D-1 Classroom News
Dear Parents,
There are so many things happening this month, so be sure and check the class calendar for daily information.
We are starting an incentive program this month to help the children make good choices through the day. Please read the attached letter for information about this program and how we can work together to encourage the children.
We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Monday, February, 13th with a party for the children. There will be a Valentines exchange and a special snack. Please send 14 Valentines to school with your child on the 13th. Also have your child sign his or her own name on the cards (great name writing practice), and leave the envelope blank; this makes passing out Valentines to their friends much easier. If your child is not scheduled to come on a Monday, don’t worry about them missing the party. All the children are invited to come on this day during our class time. (8:15-1:00)
Grandparent’s Day is on Friday, February, 20th from 11:00 to 12:00. This is also a half day and dismissal is at 12:00. If Grandparents are taking the children home please make sure they are listed on your emergency pick up forms or send a note to school giving permission. We can not let your child leave with their Grandparent’s without this information!
Next week we will be turning the playhouse into a grocery store. We would appreciate any small, empty, and clean paper or plastic items, such as: yogurt containers, cereal boxes, mustard jars, cream cheese cartons or any other grocery items.
The children have had fun cooking this past month making snowman pancakes and rainbow toast. We would like to continue to do more cooking projects, however we have used the gift cards that have previously been donated. Any additional gift cards would be greatly appreciated!
